The WB Network is the new home of "Green Screen"
Drew and the regulars from the Improv All-Stars will be starring in a new type improv special on the WB, which will hopefully parlay into a regular series. As previously reported here last week, taping began on Thursday April 8th in front of live audiences in LA. The special has all the cast performing in front of a green screen with animated and digital effects put in in post production. Drew expects the special to take a few weeks to complete editing and hopes for it to air on the WB in the fall of 2004. Here is another article from wliia.net.

The stars of Whose Line are taping a new show and Colin speaks about the future of Whose Line.

CONFIRMED! From the mouths of Brad and Colin. I was true to my word, printed out the page and asked them directly about it. When I asked Colin alone (as Brad was busy signing autographs) he said he had only heard about it YESTERDAY and he was apparently supposed to be there and Drew had just called him about it. The concept is different, according to Col, as it will be all in green screen. From what he could figure they would be doing some scenes knowing what the green screen holds and others not knowing. Brad, on the other hand, was nearly oblivious to the whole thing. He actually asked Colin over his shoulder if it was true and where they were going. Colin and Brad are both excited to see what becomes of it.
I asked the deliberately straight question "Is Whose Line finished?" Colin said "We have a years worth of shows still in the cans. What ABC decides to do with them is up to ABC. (basically they are already paid for that) As for taping more... they would probably use what's already done and not tape more Whose Line until that is seen." Brad didn't seem to have any answers and nodded a lot while Colin and I talked. This new pilot is "experimental" in Colin's view and it is Drew that put it together. The WB may try to sell it like they did to ABC with WL, or keep it for the WB station. Who knows. Worst case scenario is that it never sees the light of day. I can't wait to get to talk to them again, and hopefully one of them will email me.
