Chat appriciation week was not a complete sucess as I saw very few new people around. Those that did show did have fun and I thank you. Watch for the Workshop schedule coming early Janurary. Happy holidays.

The rest of this month would be a great time to introduce new people to the wonder that is IRC Improv. December 15th through the 21rst is officially IRC Improv Chat Appreciation Week. IRC Improv is defined as using a chat room to play improv games, talk about improvisation and meet improv people. The Idiotsite Chatroom has been open since January 21, 2001 and has hosted thousands of IRC Improv chat sessions. On the week of the anniversary (January 19th through the 25th) we will begin a series of IRC Improv Workshops designed to introduce new people the to world of IRC Improv and bring those that have been Improvising via chat together and have loads of fun.
Your assignment is, if you choose to accept it, make all efforts to be in the chatroom during this coming week. Starting at 8pm EST (-4:00 GMT) we will have our regular scheduled games and shows for all to see. On the days where there is no scheduled chat (Monday and Wednesday) we will have primer courses that will give a taste of the IRC Improv Workshops, and play games led by any that wish to host. Also there will be a few contests and prizes handed out over the course of the week.
A great way to find people to invite to the chat room is to look up words like "Improv, comedy, message board, forum, Whose Line, chat" in a Google search. Visit other sites that have Whose Line, Improv or comedy message boards and invite them to the chat. Just inviting your friends may not work! Take time to appreciate how the chat room has enriched this community and help us use it as a tool to make the community stronger. Thank you.

An idea has been formed to put together some IRC Improv Workshops. This will follow a week of IRC Chat appreciation, hosted in the idiotsite chatroom in a couple weeks. Probably the 15th through the 21rst. The idea will NOT be to invite your friends, but to find any and all WL, improv, and theatre message boards and invite them to our chat room. Then in January we will start a workshopping idea to teach the new people all that we know about IRC improv. At the end we'll have a big bash and a performance showdown! The bios and picture sections will have to wait until I get this off the ground. No contests are scheduled yet either. Thanks for visiting.
