Karen pulled an upset, in regards to her seed, but it wasn't really as much a one as one would expect. An early Denny surge was quickly stifled by an overpowering performance by Maruyama.

Paul and Rory was by far the closest match so far. The two treated the lead like a hot potato at times, but, thanks especially to Wednesday, Rory got the upset and moves on.
