The Idiotsite was started on September 25, 2000. It was, at first, created to be a place to get mp3 files of games from Whose Line. It was intended as a place just for downloads. Soon after the chat room and message boards got a start and it was then realized how much fun Whose Line fans can have with each other. So now the Idiotsite is a place for all Whose Line fans to come and meet each other, talk at a big discussion board, chat and play games in a chat room, listen to a streaming audio radio station, find pictures and bio's of your favorite players and get lyrics from all the Whose Line songs. I sincerely hope you love this site and will contribute and participate in the site and its activities.

Is it the zenith of improvised comic genius? Is it just a small chuckle in the landscape of entertainment? Whatever it is to you, it is unique. "Whose Line is it Anyway?" is a product of the Hat Trick Production company in the UK. It started as a BBC radio show in 1986, and then translated to BBC television in 1988. In 1989 Hat Trick Productions received a BAFTA for its groundbreaking comedy improvisation show "Whose Line is it Anyway?". Whose Line remained on the BBC until 1998, when in its tenth season, it visited Hollywood to film the last shortened season for the BBC. While there the show format was sold to ABC and became the first British series to be produced in the US by its parent UK production company. Fall season of 1998, Hat Trick turned its new ABC prime-time show into a hit. For four years Whose Line would have a permanent place in the ABC prime-time line up, only moving from it's regular Thursday 8PM in 2002 when ABC tried it on both Monday and Friday nights. This proved to be too much for the show. In the fall of 2003, "Whose Line is it Anyway?" was not on the prime-time schedule on any station for the first time in 13 years.  Whose Line can still be seen around the world on smaller market cable channels, such as Comedy Central, who shows the UK series shows occasionally, ABC Family Channel, who shows the ABC series nightly, and a few other channels globally. All in all, "Whose Line is it Anyway?" is the most successful improvisational comedy show on television.

After this success Drew Carey, the US WLiiA host, tried another improvised show called the "Drew Carey's Green Screen" in 2007.  Broadcast on the Warner Brother's TV outlet  "The WB" this show had many of the performers from the US version of WLiiA improvising games in front of a green background with animation provided by the famed Warner Brothers Studio.   The show lasted one season of 13 episodes.

in 2011, Drew Carey continued his Improv on TV hopes by starting a show with the "way off basic cable" Game Show Network.  With more of the WLiiA cast joining him in Las Vegas, the games are not hosted and are filmed in a more night club setting for more mature audiences.  So far the show "Drew Carey's Improvaganza"has been picked up for a season of at least 23 episodes.
